Sphere for AI assistants

Talk to your food log from Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, or any assistant that speaks MCP.

Server URL

Sphere runs an official remote MCP server. Add it to your assistant, sign in with your Sphere account, and it can read and update your log on your behalf.

https://api.getsphere.io/functions/v1/mcp

You sign in with the same account you use in the app. Your assistant only ever sees your own data, and you can revoke access anytime from your account settings.

Connect your assistant

Claude (web and desktop)
  1. Open claude.ai and go to Settings, then Connectors.
  2. Choose Add custom connector and paste the server URL below.
  3. Claude opens a Sphere sign-in page. Sign in the same way you do in the app, then approve access.
Claude Code
  1. Run: claude mcp add --transport http sphere https://api.getsphere.io/functions/v1/mcp
  2. The first tool call triggers a browser sign-in. Approve access and you're connected.
ChatGPT
  1. ChatGPT connectors require a paid plan with developer mode enabled (Settings, Apps & Connectors, Advanced).
  2. Choose Create app and paste the server URL below. ChatGPT discovers the sign-in flow automatically.
  3. Sign in with your Sphere account and approve access.
Grok
  1. Open grok.com/connectors (custom connectors require a paid plan).
  2. Choose New Connector, then Custom, and paste the server URL below.
  3. Sign in with your Sphere account and approve access.
Any other MCP client
  1. Sphere is a standard remote MCP server using Streamable HTTP and OAuth 2.1.
  2. Point your client at the server URL below. Auth is discovered automatically via the standard metadata endpoints.

Things you can say

  • “What did I eat today?”
  • “How many calories do I have left?”
  • “Log a chicken breast for lunch”
  • “I had 2 eggs and toast for breakfast”
  • “What's my protein intake this week?”
  • “Delete my last snack”

Privacy and security

The connection uses OAuth 2.1. Your assistant never sees your password or sign-in code, only a token scoped to your account, and every request runs under the same per-user data isolation as the app itself. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
